Unlike, NO TAPE DRIVE OR CASSETTE, you will only see any of these errors during a RESTORE.   A tape backup does a complete erase before it copies data.  At the beginning of the tape there is an electronic label that is updated as each disk platter has successfully been copied.  When doing a Backup always check the display to insure the dates have been set before you consider the project done.  Also, the tape cassette should be completely rewound before you remove it.

Always run at least two BACKUPS on different tapes before a REORGE or any time the computer is cleaned or repaired.

Never use your best Backup tape the first time after a hardware disaster.
